Getting up to Speed with Java on Linux

I don't know how many people out there are using Java on Linux. At Oracle, we've been having a big push in different divisions to move our development platform from Sun, HP, Windows, etc.. over to Linux. The main reason is cost (after all, it's free for a Linux license, compared to a couple of hundred for a copy of Windows), it's more stable than Windows, and also we've already got the infrastructure in place (NIS, etc) to handle UNIX type environments.

Anyway, I've been working on a series on OTN for getting up to speed with Java on Linux. I've got 2 parts up now, and working on part right now. Check them out and let me know what you think, plus if there's anything you'd like to see covered in the future, let me know that too.
