Use Firebird on Linux?

Do yourself a favor and grab the Bitstream Vera fonts and then get the latest Mozilla Firebird trunk with gtk2 + xft support. It made my RedHat8 laptop here look OHHHH sooooo much nicer!!

Also be sure to set your fonts in the Gnome Fonts application gnome-font-properties.

Also, JDeveloper will use these, just copy the *.ttf (TrueType Font Files) into your J2SDK/jre/lib/fonts directory and restart JDeveloper. Then you can see them in Tools > Preferences > Code Editor > Fonts

Only 1 font in there is monospaced, so that's all that you'll see.

You can un-check the "show only monospaced fonts" and see the other Bitstream Vera fonts.

Well, the Vera font work fine on my desktop, but they do not show up in preference => Code Editor => fonts. I dropped the *.ttf files in jdevs local font directory
